Don't let the skirts fool you…

The MU Tigers beat SLU 3-1 on April 24th in a rainy game on Stankowski Field. Alyssa Brown had two goals and Katy Bergen had one.

The Tigers end the season with a 9-0-2 record.

Players must attend practice Wednesday, 4/21/10, as officer elections for next year will be held. It is not too late to contact Alyssa if you are still interested in a position.

The MU Girls traveled six hours to Conway, Arkansas Saturday to play Hendrix College and Rhodes College in both 7 v.7 and full field formats Sunday. The MU club team kept the game scoreless for the first 7 v. 7 game against Hendrix. The girls also tied Rhodes College 0-0 in a full field game. In a 7 v. 7 game against Rhodes, MU won 1-0.

Both Hendrix College and Rhodes College are Division III schools. Rhodes College was their conference champions last fall.

In a stroke competition involving all teams, Mizzou lost in sudden death for both teams after tying both schools 3-3. (Each team took 5 shots) Erin Gillam, Lauren Oberle, Alyssa Brown, Leanna Erickson, Courtney McArthur took the strokes for Mizzou.

Erin Gillam turned 19 on our trip! Happy Birthday!

Practice is at 3:30 at Stankowski Field. Mizzou will travel to Conway, Arkansas this weekend to play Hendrix College and Rhodes College, both Division III teams.

If anyone is interested in being an officer next year, elections will be held at practice next week. Some positions are already open, while other officers intend to run for another term. Anyone can run!

A message from Alyssa:

Courtney and I just placed an order for warm ups. Let’s just say they are sick: black zip ups, a little bit of white, women’s cut. They are going to say “Mizzou” on the back in big block letters (like letter jackets and baseball jerseys) and “Mizzou Field Hockey” and your last name on the front.

If you know you want them, let me know. You are not required to buy them. At the moment, they are around 60 dollars. We may be able to get them for a few dollars cheaper.

We are buying Serge’s warm-up—in men’s cut of course.

A message from Alyssa:

Hey Ladies and Serge,

Happy New Year!

I cant wait to see all of you when we get back. Here is a survey to figure out what day of the week works best for practice.
Everyone needs to complete this survey!

Thanks. Miss you all:)
